The induction was more than a ceremonial gathering but an acknowledgment of the academic distinction, leadership, and social responsibility these students are representing in many ways.
The Bantogen Honors Society, launched last year, is a community of exceptional students who have demonstrated outstanding academic prowess, leadership skills, and commitment to social causes. This esteemed society is a highlight of the university’s strong commitment to promoting a culture of excellence that provides its members with unique opportunities to grow, collaborate, and contribute meaningfully to the university and beyond.
Chancellor Alidzedney M. Ditucalan, in his speech, reminded the new members of the honor and responsibility that come with being a part of the Bantogen Honors Society. "It is an honor, and such honor also carries with it a huge responsibility," he stated, urging the new members to proudly represent the university and uphold its ideals in all that they do.
Guest speaker Dr. Mylene M. Uy delivered a message challenging them to rise to the occasion and make their mark on the world. “The future is yours to shape and influence,” encouraging the students to use their talents and education to create a positive impact on society.
As the event drew to a close, Prof. Pamela F. Resurreccion offered words of wisdom that left a lasting impression. “Continue to work hard, uphold your integrity, and seek ways to use your talents for the greater good,” she advised, reinforcing the idea that the journey of excellence is ongoing and intertwined with a sense of duty and purpose.
The Bantogen Honors Convocation served as an important reminder of MSU-IIT's dedication to discovering and cultivating holistic scholars. The hopes and expectations of an entire institution, together with the recognition of the Bantogen Honors Society, are carried by the newest members as they set off toward their future.
