Dendro is smart and strong! Arachnids emerged victorious in the Laro ng Lahi tournament

During the Laro ng Lahi tournament held last 25 April 2023 at the IDS Multi-purpose Hall, the Dendro Arachnid from the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) competed against the other Colleges for the championship title for Laro ng Lahi. The tournament games included the Pantetero match and the Tug of War. With much conviction and nimble feet, the Dendro Arachnid was hailed CASS as the overall champion of the Laro ng Lahi tournament, fortifying their win with a 1-point lead against the College of Economics, Business, and Accountancy (CEBA).

The Tug of War
The atmosphere was tense as the teams pulled ferociously, their hands gripping the rope with all their might. Among them was the CASS team of five members, who showed remarkable coordination and determination as they fought for victory against students from the CSM. Despite the intense pressure, they managed to outmaneuver their opponents and secured a spot in the next round of the game.

The event proved to be an actual test of the students' physical and mental prowess, as they showcased their ability to work together and think strategically in the face of adversity. The crowd was on the edge of their seats throughout the competition, cheering on their respective teams and marveling at the incredible display of athleticism and sportsmanship.

CASS representatives secured third place for the overall ranking, proving that they are academically inclined, physically fit, and mentally sharp as they engaged in a Tug of War competition. The contest was a perfect combination of strength and strategy, requiring the participants to work together and employ various tactics to outsmart their opponents.

The Patentero Match
The game turned out smoothly for the Arachnids, calculating every step towards claiming victory.

For the patentero match, the competition required teams to run and reach the end point without being touched by opponents. As they steer clear of their foes, they prove one thing about CASS, its determination to overcome any challenges is evident.
