CLAWset On: Narnia-Inspired CASS Days Unfolds

Tales of a lion, royals, and witches are scribed in the fictitious world of Narnia. Yet today, January 24, 2025, isles sprung on the lawn of the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), drawing a crowd of students in this year’s CASS Days with the theme: “Voyage Through the Isles of Wisdom: Unraveling the Threads of Society.

The ceremonial lighting of the torches, led by society mayors and primes, marked the official start of the week-long event.

This was followed by the oath of sportsmanship, delivered by the SPODA heads of each society, underscoring the spirit of fairness and camaraderie.

A series of dance showdowns, traditional yells, and colorful displays of festivity then followed, rooting the start on a good note.

Meanwhile, College of Arts and Social Sciences - Executive Council (CASS-EC) Vice Governor Hizam Tomawis, disclosed the particular interest behind the theme. Tomawis said that the theme endeavors to emphasize the hope for collaboration and unity among the seven societies of CASS.

“Over the next few days, we will voyage together exploring our shared new face, celebrating our unique identities and vision of the future, where our collaboration will shape a better society,” he stated.
