Bound for Championship: Tali Men’s Volleyball Team Dusts Off CCS’ Beta Byte’s Bid to Stain Clean Record Win

Clearing the way for the championship, the College of Arts and Social Sciences’ (CASS) Tali copped their spot in the finals during the PALAKASAN 2025 men’s volleyball semifinals in a 2-0 rake against the College of Computer Studies’ (CCS) Beta Byte, held on Thursday, March 6.

This came after a thrilling upturn saw CASS’ Tali pluck the odds in their favor, outpacing CCS’ Beta Byte’s trump hand in the final minutes of the first set at 23-22.

Early exchanges welded the latter’s lead in their single-digit standing by going after the former’s open defenses. Yet, Tali flipped the outcome of the game to their advantage with hard-hitting spikes, executed aggressively to close the match at 25-23.

This boost followed suit in the second set after Beta Byte’s footing was beset with ball outs. CCS’ Beta Byte tried to recoup with rallies on grip, but a wide gap secured by Tali tramped a 25-10 finish.

CASS will now ascend to prepare for the championship game, set to transpire in the upcoming PALAKASAN proper this April 4.
