Malacañang Palace has declared Monday, September 29, 2025, a special non-working holiday in Iligan City through Proclamation No. 1042.
Mayor Frederick Siao confirmed the announcement after receiving the certified copy from the Office of the President, which he shared on his official Facebook page.
The holiday was declared to give Iliganons the chance to fully join and celebrate the vibrant Diyandi Festival, the city’s grand annual cultural event.
