80 Years of UNity

Every October 24, the world comes together to celebrate United Nations Day, marking the founding of the most inclusive international organization with 193 member states united under a shared vision. For eight decades, the UN has championed peace, human rights, and social progress, improving lives across the globe through better access to education, healthcare, and sustainable development.

This day commemorates the entry into force of the UN Charter in 1945, a milestone that also highlights the Philippines’ role as a founding member. It reminds us of our nation’s continued commitment to the UN’s mission in advancing peace, fostering cooperation, and embracing cultural diversity for a better, more inclusive world.

As we move forward together, let this celebration renew our collective resolve to uphold the UN’s ideals to end poverty, hunger, conflict, and inequality, ensuring that progress and peace reach every nation and every person, leaving no one behind. Together, let us continue to build bridges of understanding and solidarity, and stand united in our shared pursuit of a future where peace and prosperity are not privileges, but rights enjoyed by all.
