In protecting every child, we weave a future where innocence is honored and dreams are free to bloom.
Guided by the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), the 2025 celebration of National Children’s Month in the Philippines sought to strengthen advocacy, build awareness, and promote collective action to protect children from exploitation. Central to this observance was the theme “OSAEC–CSAEM WAKASAN: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng mga Bata, Ipaglaban!”, a powerful reminder of the nation’s duty to uphold the safety and rights of every Filipino child. OSAEC refers to Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children, while CSAEM stands for Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials, both of which remain urgent concerns in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Mandated by Republic Act No. 10661, or the National Children’s Month Act, the annual observance serves as a national reminder that children’s rights must remain a top priority across all sectors of society. This year, the celebration became more than a commemoration but also a powerful movement calling for vigilance, protection, and justice. Through various actions and stakeholders working together, we can champion a safer environment where every child can thrive free from fear, exploitation, and abuse.
