As the blue harvest moon rose, the Moonstone illuminated the grounds of Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology with shimmering pixie dust, making every arachnae-fairy sparkle during the awarding ceremony of CASS Days 2026.
The evening of February 22 was packed with glimmers of joy from every society as they witnessed the culmination of one of the year’s major events, themed “Pixie Hollow Games” from the Tinker Bell franchise.
Reflecting the fairies’ magical Neverland, the gymnasium was filled with trinkets representing each society’s unique taste—one of which was the fashion that sprinkled the night with color and imagination. With pastel fairy wings, crowns adorned in silver, and an array of hues that made one feel as if floating, the floor became a mosaic of inspiration.
In this display of wonder, several fairies shared their fashion choices and the creative process behind their fairy-core ensembles.

Alvin Joshua Odtohan, a fourth-year Bachelor of Arts in Psychology student, shared how he planned his outfits months prior to the event, “4th year naman ko and then last CASS days na nako so, why not mo burak ko,” he expressed.
Drawing inspiration from their icon Silvermist, Alvin looked as though a prince had just stepped out of the ocean, adorned with colors of the sea and a bedazzled headpiece.

On a similar note, Akrisha Grace Hangka, a fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Philosophy majoring in Applied Ethics, wanted to channel into the gracefulness of the flowing waters. She explained that her outfit aimed to articulate the waves and the breezes brought about by water.
“I want to win so I want to look good on stage,” laughed Akrisha.
She wanted to encapsulate Silvermist’s mysterious, calming aura with her mid-length sky-blue chiffon ruffled dress and thrifted boots she found for seventy-five pesos.

With lavender colored wings bleeding through her white mesh top, Charlize Carvajal, a fourth-year Bachelor of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies student, based her outfit on a top she found while thrift shopping. When she overheard the theme was Pixie Hollow, she began ordering accessories for her outfit.
“Same siyag atake sa among icon which is si Vidia,” she said.
Embellished with gold and silver pendants in her hair, Charlize highlighted that her outfit was entirely second-hand, purchased through thrift stores both online and in shops.

For Aisha Salacop, a third-year Bachelor of Arts in Political Science student, her outfit was just a spontaneous morning assembly influenced by the aesthetics of their icon Rosetta. With her mythical creature-inspired make-up, vine-covered sleeves, and rose-bedazzled shoes, Aisha seemed like a living nymph walking through the gymnasium.

Meanwhile, Mary Luz Generalao, a third-year Batsilyer ng Sining sa Panitikan, wore a cheetah print top and reflected on her dilemma between wearing her officer uniform or following her own style. Ultimately, she opted for her uniform and planned to change afterwards.
“Dili ko, mo eksena jud ko,” she expressed heartily.
Inspired by Fawn, the colors, prints, and simplicity of Mary Luz’s outfit perfectly complemented her uplifting attitude, reflecting the animal fairy’s free-flowing spirit.

On the darker side of the pastel-colored wings, Aiyeesha Abah, a fourth-year Bachelor of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies student, showcased a color palette reminiscent of gothic fashion. She wanted to incorporate her own style while aligning with LILACS’ colors and this year’s theme.
“I also got inspiration from the band Mazzy Star,” she shared, highlighting her preference for black-adjacent outfits.
Aiyeesha’s ensemble, complete with her favourite moon earrings and cross-loaded necklaces, was entirely thrifted and rented.
From thrifted and spontaneous ensembles to meticulously planned outfits, all arachnae-fairies achieved the magic emanating from the Moonstone. With a handful of fashionable icons in Pixie Hollow, Neverland continues to cultivate a vibrant culture of expression, encouraging confidence, a love for aesthetics, and a community fueled by creativity.
