Primelle Fairies beat Windweaving Fairies in men’s basketball semifinals; advance to finals vs Kandili

Earlier this morning, February 20, 2026, spirited cheers and booming drums of supporters filled the gymnasium as the MSU-IIT Historical Society (MIHS) Primelle Fairies played and won against the Literature, Language, and Culture Society (LILACS) Windweaving Fairies in the men’s basketball semifinals.

The first quarter featured a tight face-off, with both teams showing strong commitment and determination as they recorded four fouls each. Despite this, the match flowed smoothly throughout, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.

The game concluded with a final score of 127-111, favoring the MIHS Primelle Fairies, who secured their victory and advanced to the championships against the Kabataang Pilipinong Aakay sa Bayan (KAPILAS-Bayan) Kandili.

The team captain of the Primelle Fairies expressed his joy and pride for their team. He acknowledged a tough championship battle ahead against KAPILAS-Bayan, recalling their previous encounters and the possibility of setbacks.

Nonetheless, he trusted in his own confidence and in the abilities of his team members, citing them as his source of hope and the very essence of what they are fighting for. “It’s such an honor for us to face KAPILAS-Bayan, so laban lang,” he added.

When asked about their preparations for both the semifinal game and the upcoming final, the team captain shared that the team did not have extensive preparations or formal training, relying instead on their ordinary day-to-day court rehearsals and warm-ups.

Meanwhile, still representing the Primelle Fairies banner, Chadniel Actub was hailed as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the semifinal game, a recognition he described as “magistically awesome.”

However, he emphasized that in the game and in the final match ahead, it is not any one player who makes a difference, but the collective effort of the entire team that makes triumph possible.

With their semifinal victory secured, the Primelle Fairies set their sights on the championship, with strong morale and unwavering dedication as their guiding magic.

As the cheers of the crowd fade and the lights of Pixie Hollow dim on the court, all eyes are turned to the championship, where only one fairy team will emerge victorious.
