𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱

 

The environment is not merely the space we inhabit. It sustains the communities we build, the resources we depend on, and the lives we carry forward. Yet, as its condition continues to change, the consequences of neglect become increasingly difficult to overlook.

World Environment Day serves as a reminder that environmental responsibility extends beyond awareness. It calls us to confront the ways in which human activity has altered the natural world and to recognize that preservation requires more than good intentions.

The damage we cause is not always immediate, nor is it always visible. A polluted river, a disappearing forest, or a landscape stripped of its resources carries consequences that may extend far beyond the present.

The world we inherit is shaped by the decisions made before us. That is why caring for the environment also means acknowledging our responsibility to those who will carry it forward. What we choose to preserve, restore, or disregard today will become part of the world they receive tomorrow.

This World Environment Day, may we remember that the environment is not simply ours to use, but something entrusted to us. Its future is shaped by what we choose to leave behind.
