The Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) celebrates a historic milestone with the Grand Inauguration and Turnover Ceremony of the Academy of the Arts in MSU-IIT (AAMI) Theater. From technical excellence to the soul of cultural expression, this state-of-the-art home is officially open to nurture, inspire, and empower generations of visionaries.
The emotional high point of the afternoon came with the official turnover of the AAMI Theater to the university. Prof. Alizedney M. Ditucalan, MSU-IIT Chancellor, accepted the facility on behalf of the institution, sharing his vision of how the theater will nurture generations of artists, visionaries, and storytellers.
Bringing the Stage to Life
The stage came alive with a spectacular showcase of music, dance, and cultural performances. The inaugural program featured MSU-IIT’s performing groups, from the cultural traditions presented by Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG), Kalimulan, and Kalilang to the musical performances of Octava and Echoes, and the contemporary energy of Wildcats and Orions.
More than a theater, AAMI is a promise that the arts will always have a home and sanctuary at the university—a place where we embrace humanities and culture, express our emotions through the lense of creativity and passion.
The doors are open, the stage is set, the future of Mindanaoan creativity awaits. Let the curtains rise, IITians!
