The Special General Education Night Program (SGENP) together with the General Education Student Organization (GESO) conducted a three day “Leadership-Team Building Seminar-Workshop on November 27-28, 2010 at Maze Park and Resort, Iligan City. The activity was attended by 17 GESO officers headed by Jalaine Mala, the president. Prof. Rene Jose Padro the SGENP Coordinator served as the resource person and facilitator.
The activity was initiated to enhance the officers’ skills in running a big organization and to prepare for the coming 10th anniversary of the Program.
Topics discussed included team building, leadership, collective decision making, and parliamentary procedures. The participants were also taught the values of responsibility, accountability, commitment, and excellence.
GESO officers were very much satisfied with the activity. The satisfaction was echoed by Debbie Llano, GESO Treasurer, “Daghan ko’y natunan sa seminar ug bibo mi kayo! Maayo unta’g mosugot si Sir Padro nga naa pay sunod.”
Meshelle Rivera, SGENP Administrative Assistant, and some former GESO officers also gave valuable inputs during the activity.
