CASS Faculty is New Commissioner

By Dimple G. Cabasis

Prof. Miriam P. Cue of the Department of Psychology was appointed as one of the first members of the Professional Regulatory Commission for Psychology Board Exam by President Benigno C. Aquino III last May 21, 2012. Aside from being an active Institute staff and a professor for Advanced Psychology courses, Dr. Cue is actively involved in organizational-related problems for non-government organizations, private mental and drug rehab institutions in Mindanao and industries. In fact, she currently holds the positions Psychologist-Consultant of Cocoon Foundation; Clinical Psychotherapist at New Day Recovery Center; Chief Psychologist and Managing Consultant of Megrez Behavioral Systems and Services.

However, to comply with the provisions of the law that govern her appointment, she has decided for an early retirement from her service in the Institute. The law stipulates that a commissioner for a board exam should not be related to any teaching institution.

She officially assumed office as a commissioner on May 22, 2012. She will serve for a minimum term of two years.
