Sagip-Aral Program Distributes School Supplies

The CASS Rooftop was filled with joy and smiles of the elementary pupils of Brgy. Santiago last June 22, 2012 The activity which is part of the Sagip-Aral Program was to distribute school supplies to the pupils of Brgy.Santiago.

It was attended mainly by Grade 1 to Grade 6 pupils and their respective parents. School supplies such papers, notebooks, pencil, erasers, sharpeners, umbrella for girls and raincoats for boys as well as the bag were given to the students. Short talks were given by the guests and usually they end with an inspirational message to the parents and pupils who attended the activity. There were also intermission numbers from the selected pupils who attended.

Professors and students from Political Science and Filipino Department also attended the event. Brgy. Captain Pedro Sabayle of Bryg. Santiago, Professor Nora A. Clar, the CASS Dean, Professor David Almarez, Prof. Ma. Cecilia Tangian, Chairperson of History Department, and Professor Marie Joy Banawa, Chairperson of Filipino Department also graced the event.

The Sagip-Aral Program is organized by Atty. Felicidad C. Gadiano, currently the CASS Executive Council Adviser, together with the different donors and departments of the College; CASS EC, General Education Student Organization, Political Science Society, Filipino Department, CWTS students of IHL CASS Cluster and the Iligan City Solid Management Office. There are also individual donors such as Professor Louisita Mamawag and Ms. Fatima Almarez.
