MSU-IIT Palakasan 2013 Grand Opening Got It Made

By Sarene Mae Butao

We have done several things to make ourselves look good on others, changed our hair, our faces, and with the help of modern-day technology, we can "achieve" perfection. But opinions of the audience will never stay on one side. In every good action that we do, there will always be a negative action to counteract that. We will always remain neutral. Never too much of positive, and never too much of the negative.
MSU-IIT Palakasan 2013 with the theme “Greater Heights through Internationalization” held its grand opening on Wednesday, August 28. The event was attended by the eight colleges and schools. The crowd goes wild as the anchor introduced the different houses. Eight respective colleges made their houses animated. Different cheers, different college shirts, different music pulses and different chattering faces.

Students took the challenge of representing their college for the MSU-IIT Palakasan 2013 Mass Dance Competition. Their breath danced in the air, a proof that they were alive and graceful. The audiences watched the starlight dance around and playfully stared straight to the participants. The tapping of their shoes, and their swaying hips made the Grand Opening livelier.  The College of Education-Integrated Developmental School was hailed as the champion, School of Computer Studies got the second spot, College of Nursing got the third spot, College of Arts and Social Sciences as the fourth placer, College of Science and Mathematics as the fifth placer, School of Engineering Technology as the sixth placer, College of Business Administration and Accountancy got the seventh place and the  College of Engineering as the eight placer. Through this kind of event, IITians will  not be afraid to rise and take  a challenge and make sacrifices to reach a goal. They may encounter failure, but it is the achievement that becomes more memorable. They will learn to  earn the ability to shape their future and guide others who will struggle against the opponent.

The event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the KASAMA Officers, College Executive Councils, MSU-IIT faculty members and students.

Despite all the gossips and  separation rumors against KASAMA, they still made the MSU-IIT Palakasan Grand Opening 2013  truly a blast!
