In an effort to promote better student welfare, the seven Societies of the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), with the Executive Council, and CASSayuran, the official college publication, presented their best practices to visiting professors from the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). The benchmarking session, which was held last March 6, 2023 at CASS, was initiated by the UMY professors as part of the "ComE with Us!" teacher mentoring program at MSU-IIT.
The session was attended by seven Society Mayors, the EIC of CASSayuran, and department chairpersons. The students were eager to showcase the various activities, engagements, and practices that they implemented to improve the college experience for their fellow students.
Prof. Puthut Ardianto, one of the visiting professors from UMY, expressed his admiration for the student leaders' dedication and creativity in coming up with innovative ideas to engage their peers. He noted that the benchmarking session provided valuable insights into the best practices for student engagements, which he believed would be beneficial to UMY.
Overall, the benchmarking session served as an excellent opportunity for the CASS student leaders to share their best practices and learn from the experiences of their UMY counterparts.
