CASSayaw: A Green, Green Night of Dances

Grooving gracefully, dance participants from seven colleges aced the dance floor, exhibiting what their respective colleges could bring to the heated Palakasan stage. Participants in contemporary dance events from the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) slayed the night by displaying a wide range of flavors in their routines and giving it their all, particularly in the genres of lyrical dance, pop dance, and wannabe dance. As soon as the music struck its beat, participants did not second-mindedly free their inhibitions, unleashing the fire burning deep within them.

Most people, if not all, find meaning and delight in performing arts, making dance competitions a great way to bring together people of all ages. In this year's Palakasan, the dancers from CASS impressed the crowd with more than just being eye candy; they also evoked profound feelings through their wholesome choreography and attitudes mirrored by their graceful storytelling in the world of movement.

Lyrical Dance

A trio of performers representing the feisty CASS community gave their rendition of Adele's "Love in the Dark," bringing their distinct perspective and interpretation of the song into the stage. They had a tremendous theatrical presence as they took the stage, owing to their synchronized movements and charismatic entrance. The participant's profound feelings, artistic depth, and empowerment of the LGBTQIA+ community were all seasoned well with Adele's phenomenal heartbreaking song.

Throughout their performance, there is no way of telling what is next, especially the heartbreaking embrace of two performers contrasting the relationship's dark and light sides and breaking the toxicity cycle.

Pop Dance

The Arachnids danced like there was no tomorrow. They ate the dance floor to their core and served the crowd with a spectacular performance. As this was one of the much-awaited events of the night, they got no chill and only ignited amusement throughout the entire duration. Indeed, they showcased malaCASS, and flawless movements inflamed with spontaneous hype and energy from the Dendro arachnids.

Give me more remixes; they gave more than what everyone anticipated. Looking classy in their well-fitted costumes, the groovy CASS Pop Dance representatives just nailed every drop and turned to the beat of the song. All hailed their perfect execution and the dynamics they held that took the breath of IITians away. Once again, the Dendro Arachnid put forward the finest and most savage dance that weaves off the night.

Wannabe Dance

The night is far from over. CASS' wannabe participants steal the spotlight with colorful costumes dressed as sea creatures--some as fishes, others jellyfish--festive backdrops and cheerful dispositions. They bring life to the kid's favorite original soundtrack (OST), "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid. With the aid of humorous elements and upbeat performers, they effectively portrayed the carefree spirit of life under the wonders of the ocean's surface.

From start to finish, it is the pinnacle of the night of dances. They bestowed an exquisite point of characterization that engaged the crowd to fill in the tank of what more CASS has at its disposal. Truly, CASS wraps up the night as green as it can be.
