The AB English Organization (ABEO) adopted a direct approach to sparking enthusiasm and interest by offering students departmental brochures and opening applications for their society clubs in a captivating booth of creativity and language.
Reflecting the profound legacy of ABEO, Mayor Catherine Badilla unveiled their society’s collective aim of fostering connections and providing creative outlets for students through clubs such as the Linguazette, their student publication, as well as the ABEO Playhouse, their official drama club.
“It is our passion to work on seeing this organization become a social and creative space. We would love to make our fellow students feel that life with ABEO matters,” Badilla conveyed in a written interview.
When asked about her message for aspiring ABEans, she emphasized that those with an ardent interest in language, literature, culture, and gaining insights into people and the world may find their home in ABEO.
“There is so much more that our society can bring to the world. We bring out the best of our minds and creativity and create a haven for our diversity together,” the ABEO Mayor remarked.
Amid the fervor of the Welcome Week festivities, the 2023 Organization Fair stands out as a prominent highlight, offering students the opportunity to immerse themselves in organizations that resonate with their passions. On August 23, the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) inaugurated the fair by introducing the booths of its seven societies.

Andrea Ross L. Sedero is a 19-year-old sophomore studying BS in Psychology. She serves as the News Head for MSU-IIT’s CASSayuran Publication A.Y. 2023–2024. Having been involved in Journalism since Grade 4, she brings experience as a former Copyreader for three years in elementary and a News Writer for four years in junior high school.
