CASS Students Mark the First Day of Enrollment

Turning then-quiet halls into buzzing ones, enrollees for the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024 thronged respective departments on the first day of enrollment, held on August 16, 2023.

Tailored for upcoming graduate and undergraduate students from sophomores, juniors, and seniors, the enrollment period is set to run until the 18th of August.

"The enrollment process was pretty smooth except that the system is down as of the moment," describes upcoming 2nd year BA Sociology student, Rickylyn Baronda.

According to her, enrollees from their department are only required to fill out relevant details as officiated by their adviser. However, out of their control, the recent system crash that ensued compelled them to retrieve their certificate of registration (COR) the following day.

The same sentiment was also shared by Rey Anthony Abucayon, an upcoming sophomore in the Department of History.

Abucayon explained that website traffic is what makes the process a hassle. However, his pending enrollment status will most likely be updated and verified within this day.

Though online enrollment through MICA was made available for a seamless turnout of enrollees residing far from the campus, some students express a desire to opt for an in-person enrollment process to avoid inconvenience in navigating website crashes.
