Mind Over Matter: MSU-IIT's 52 Recent RPms Garner 81.25% Passing Rate in BLEPP 2023

Fifty-two successful examinees of the recently concluded Board Licensure Exam for Psychometricians and Psychologists (BLEPP), held on August 1-2, bring about 81.25% passing rate for Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT).

Among the successful examinees, 46 out of 53 first-timers achieved a passing rate of 86.79%, while a 54.55% passing rate was obtained by 6 out of 11 repeaters.

"May your passion for psychology continue to drive you, and may you always uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in your practice. This achievement is a testament to your capabilities, and we have no doubt that you will make significant contributions to the field," the Psychology Society expressed in a congratulatory post, extolling the products of the department and the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS).

A total of 64 IITians took the August 2023 BLEPP, as published by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) last August 9, 2023.

Bothaina Mahyoub, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology graduate of MSU-IIT and now one of the newly registered psychometricians, revealed how her BLEPP journey was mentally and physically taxing.

"Overall, my BLEPP experience was pretty challenging, but it was well worth the blood, sweat, and tears I shed along the way," Mahyoub shared in a virtual interview with CASSayuran.

Consumed with anxiety and frustrations from preparations until the last moment of anticipation, she charted her path even with hesitation, after she graduated later than her peers.

"I had the courage to take the risk and try, and now I'm eager to see what lies ahead," she expressed further, highlighting how her dedication has ushered in a new chapter.

Mahyoub also extended gratitude to her home department, noting that it had imparted upon her the value of resilience, delayed gratification, and a character-embedded virtue "to always aspire to go beyond."

Notably, an uptick in takers and passers compared to last year's BLEPP is evident in the institute's recent performance.

Indeed, resonating the CASS mantra of 'Husay and Talino' while amplifying 'Puso at Konsensya' in the pursuit of professional service. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our new RPms! CASS celebrates with you.
