The Political Science Society (PSS) unveiled a unique and symbolic twist for their booth, bringing forth what they call the PSS DOLLHOUSE or POLSCILANDIA, a Barbie-themed exhibit.
Mark Shayvin Serrano, the Prime Minister of PSS, described their decision to go pink as a reflection of how their society dares to situate things beyond the monochrome of life while also sharing their aim to accentuate the drive of Barbie in toppling oppression in a cruel world.
“The Political Science Society banks on providing avenues for igniting sociopolitical awareness, capturing theoretical concepts within the polychromatic societal settings to the members of the organization,” Serrano highlighted in a written interview.
The PSS DOLLHOUSE serves a dual purpose, showcasing achievements and inviting participation. Beyond showcasing achievements and program offerings, it provides an interactive space for students to engage and capture memories.
“It’s important to dwell on different fields in order to realize suitability of oneself. The society aims for more than just touching on competitions; the projects we have planned will benefit students by curating knowledge and enhancing capacity development,” The PSS Prime Minister expressed.
As part of the Welcome Week festivities, the 2023 Organization Fair takes center stage as it beckons students to explore and connect with organizations that resonate with their interests. On August 23, the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) kicked off the fair by officially opening the booths of its seven societies.
