
The Psychology Society’s fair booth served as an invaluable source of guidance for those seeking insight into the BS/BA programs of study as they featured an array of brochures and trivia in an appealing display of yellow and blue.
Through their initiatives, the outgoing Mayor of PsychSoc conveyed their society’s commitment to recognizing and addressing the concerns of fellow students, hoping to create a welcoming and interactive space that encourages open expression.
“The main focus of our society as an organization stems from our course, which is to understand human behavior. We hope to provide an environment that can help others express what they truly feel and minimize the stigma surrounding mental health,” she voiced out in a written interview.
When inquired about her advice for those who may still be undecided, the outgoing Mayor commented that those fascinated in delving into the enigmas of the human mind and possess a genuine desire to aid others may find that Psychology is for them.
“Growth is a common yet constant thing in our society. I have found that learning from each and everyone can really promote development within ourselves and make us understand more about how we perceive the world,” she added.
As part of the Welcome Week festivities, the 2023 Organization Fair stands out as a prominent highlight, offering students the chance to explore and become a part of organizations that align with their interests. On August 23, the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) kicked off the fair by inaugurating the booths of its seven societies.
