Lethal Arachnids Settle Journey at Semis Spot; Extends Gratitude to CASS

Overhauled by their win in the first quarter, the Lethal Arachnids failed to pluck the Griffin Gods’ wings gliding through the championship at a 93-101 finish, during the Men’s Basketball PALAKASAN Pre-games on April 21, at the IDS Multi-Purpose Hall.

Following nip-and-tuck shots from both teams in the second quarter, allowing for CASS to level the playing field, the Griffins widened the gap half the third period on a 10-point lead, banking on 3-point shots at 62-72.

Notwithstanding, the Lethal Arachnids trailed steadily with assertive offenses, yet Griffin Gods’ pace put them ashore, maintaining a lead from a swelling streak of shots not enough to stall the time for a comeback.

Meanwhile, Lethal Arachnids Jason Rafael Principe and Khalid Dimacaling tipped their hats to supporters who remained with them amid the series of games that lasted for late nights.

Thank you for [to] all of the CASS students who supported us throughout the games, we could not thank you enough for being here, for cheering us: win or lose. And I hope that mentality and the same team [CASS supporters] will come here and support us for the next Palakasan,” expressed Dimacaling, ending the night with an appreciation to the community that fueled their grit to push forward.

Unfazed and characterized by their “winning mindset”, the team remained optimistic to bounce back for their future games.

“We really tried to win. We did our best; but for the next year, we will do more than that,” he added.
