The CASS Lethal Arachnids’ early footing during the first set was snagged by the CED Czarina Phoenixes as they hammered back-to-back wins during the pre-games for PALAKASAN Women’s Volleyball, held at the MSU-IIT Gymnasium, on April 16.
The first set was a showcase of dominance for the Lethal Arachnids. Coming out strong, they took the lead early on with every point becoming a battle. Tension in the gymnasium grew with each rally.
However, despite determined defensive plays and powerful spikes from the Arachnids, the Phoenixes renewed their way back from the brink to secure their win in the first set with a 26-24 finish.
Consequently, the Arachnids were not able to replicate the momentum they had in the first set. Meanwhile, the Phoenixes, fueled by their first-set win, continued to dominate, sidelining the Arachnids’ attempt at a comeback during the second set.
The CED Phoenixes ultimately sealed the deal, claiming victory in the second set with a final score of 25-15. Despite falling short, the CASS Lethal Arachnids bet everything they had on the court, proving themselves to be a formidable force.
