by John Vincent Balustre

Breezing swiftly through the ring, the Lethal Arachnids cemented an early gap over the Icy Sharks, stapling a 41-lead win during the pre-games for Palakasan Men’s Basketball, held at the IDS Multi-Purpose Hall on April 15, 2024.

From a score of 104-63, the first quarter forecasted CASS’ command on victory following a leap of 2-point shots. Maintaining a lead over their rivals, they secured a score of 20-2 during half of the play. With the Icy Sharks keeping up, the opening rested at 26-11.

The Lethal Arachnids treated every start of the quarter with a streak of first shots. Putting the Icy Sharks on the sidelines, their aim became the court’s trend.

The game continued with a cheek-by-jowl offense and defense from the Arachnids. While the Sharks managed to carry on, the third quarter buried their spot at 85-36 amid stuffed shot attempts and elapsed swarmed defenses.

However, charmed by the crowd’s zest, the Icy Sharks thawed and rose from the rigid grounds, nailing shots from downtown. A surge of 3-point scores fired up their strategies, going all out on their offenses.

But with 4 minutes remaining, the Lethal Arachnids marked their seething determination to advance at a triple-digit standing. To no avail, the Icy Sharks were subdued, ending the game with a 104-63 result in favor of CASS.
