Ready, Set, Green: CASS Triumphs in Women’s Volleyball Pregame Opener

The College of Arts and Social Sciences’ (CASS) Tali is off to a strong start in the race for PALAKASAN 2025, dominating the College of Education (CED) and Integrated Developmental School’s (IDS) Borealis and Pawpaw tandem, 2-0, in the women’s volleyball pregame opener on Monday, February 24.


CASS’ Tali surged ahead early in the first set, gaining momentum while CED-IDS’ Borealis and Pawpaw remained close behind. The match grew more intense as both teams leveled at 18-18, battling point for point until CASS claimed the set with a 25-22 finish.


The intensity carried into the second set as CASS maintained their momentum from the first, quickly taking the lead and steadily widening the score gap. CED-IDS fought hard to stay within reach, keeping the pressure on, but Tali remained relentless. Despite their opponents’ efforts, CASS pushed through and secured their victory with a 25-21 finish, marking a green start to their PALAKASAN 2025 journey.


The PALAKASAN volleyball pregames are set to continue tomorrow, February 26, at the Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH), where CASS’ men’s volleyball team will take on the College of Engineering (COE) in Match 2 of the men’s division. Meanwhile, CASS’ women’s team is set to play their second game, this time against the College of Health Sciences (CHS), in Match 4 of the women’s division on Thursday, February 27.
