They fling it like a stone,
“Like a girl,” they mock and sneer,
A weakness they imply,
A lesser state of being.
As if femininity were a haunt,
Throw like a girl, they would jest,
Cry like a girl, they would scorn,
As if emotions were a mark of fear.
But heed, who twist these words so tight,
Keep your hollow taunts,
With words like brittle branches,
For “like a girl” holds no power,
Once she breaks these empty phrases.
“Like a girl,” they mock and sneer,

A lesser state of being.
As if femininity were a haunt,
Throw like a girl, they would jest,

Keep your hollow taunts,
With words like brittle branches,
For “like a girl” holds no power,
Once she breaks these empty phrases.

To walk like a girl,
On paths she sculpted with pride,
Is to brave the storm,
For a girl is more than just a word,
She’s the anthem of courage,
Meant to rise in every stride.
Let your insults crumble,
Like dust beneath her feet.
Like dust beneath her feet.
Now, let your mere echoes wither,
Like leaves upon a vine.
In the face of adversity,
With unwavering spirit,
She’ll conquer with no fear,
Just like a girl.
Like leaves upon a vine.
In the face of adversity,
With unwavering spirit,
She’ll conquer with no fear,
Just like a girl.
