CASS’ Tali men’s team smashed their way to victory with a commanding 2-0 sweep over CCS’ Beta Byte and CEBA’s Aurelion, displaying sharp strategy and seamless teamwork. Meanwhile, the CASS women’s team put up a fierce fight, clinching a 1-1 record after outplaying CCS’ Beta Byte but narrowly missing the mark against CEBA’s Aurelion.

In the first matchup against CCS’ Beta Byte, CASS men’s singles dominated Game 1 with an overwhelming 11-2, 11-0 victory. The momentum continued in Game 2 with an 11-8, 11-6 win. However, in the men’s doubles, Tali faced a tough challenge, losing a tight match 6-11, 11-9, 8-11. Despite the doubles setback, CASS’ two singles victories secured their overall win against CCS.

For the women’s category, CASS was forced to forfeit both singles matches against CCS due to a lack of players. However, in doubles, the Tali women’s team staged a comeback, clinching a hard-fought 10-12, 11-6, 11-5 victory. This doubles win allowed them to secure the overall matchup against Beta Byte.

In their second matchup against CEBA’s Aurelion, CASS’ men’s team suffered a setback in the first singles game, losing 8-11, 4-11. Determined to recover, they made a strong comeback in Game 2, winning 11-4, 11-5. Their dominance continued in the doubles, where they secured an 11-7, 11-8 victory. With this performance, CASS’ men’s team advanced to the semifinals with a perfect record.

On the other hand, the CASS women’s team struggled against CEBA. They fought hard in the first singles match, securing a narrow 11-8, 4-11, 11-8 win. However, they suffered a tough loss in the second singles game, 1-11, 3-11, and later fell in the doubles match, 2-11, 3-11. With this loss, the CASS women’s team now holds a 1-1 record, placing them in the loser’s bracket.

Determined to keep their championship hopes alive, CASS’ Tali will be back in action today April 3, at PE Rooms 1 and 2.
