Peryang Pinoy drew its curtains in a final crescendo on August 14, 2025, closing the PANAGHIUSA 2025 organization fair with a festive awarding ceremony that crowned MSU-IIT SafeStay Connect (MISSC) as Best Booth champion.
Honoring the organizations, publications, and volunteers who made the week-long event a success, the program filled the University Peace Park with applause as each group proudly took the stage to receive certificates, energized by cheers and chants from their members.
MISSC took the top prize, followed by the MSU-IIT Muslim Student Association (MIMSA) as first runner-up and the MSU-IIT Indigenous People Student Association (MIPSA) as second runner-up. Special recognitions also went to Silahis in fourth place; Ad Infinitum and Thu’um in fifth; and the MSU-IIT College Red Cross Youth (CRCY) in sixth.
“You’ve met orgs that will become your families, mentors who will guide you, and peers who will walk alongside you in this exciting journey,” said Asst. Prof. Cheryl C. Encabo, who addressed the freshmen with warmth in her Message of Commendation.
She extended gratitude to student organizations and publications for bringing the spirit of camaraderie, creativity, and service to life, emphasizing that their passion proves that MSU-IIT is “more than just a school—it’s a community.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Elmar Albios, OSDS Focal Person for Student Organization Accreditation, announced that three new student organizations are in the process of accreditation—a sign of the campus’ growing diversity in interests and advocacies.
His announcement was met with applause before he led the awarding of Certificates of Appreciation to the Council of Organizations (COO) Working Committee for their hard work in making the organization fair possible.
The event concluded with a heartfelt closing message from Alondra Dela Cruz, Deputy Chairperson and President of CRCY, who thanked the organizers, volunteers, and participants for making PANAGHIUSA 2025 more than just an event—but a celebration of the bonds that keep the IIT community vibrant and united.
