Ready to Set Sail: MIHS Pins Batch Eruditus for Paglayag 2026

 

To prepare future historians for their academic journey, the MSU‑IIT Historical Society (MIHS) staged its second pinning ceremony for Batch Eruditus, Class of 2027, during Paglayag 2026 on Tuesday, October 6 at the Institute Amphitheater.

The ceremony marked the formal recognition of the newest cohort, symbolically “setting sail” as they begin their pursuit of historical scholarship. Students will advance through either the International History Track or the Public History Track, reflecting the society’s commitment to diverse approaches within the discipline.

By pinning Batch Eruditus, MIHS underscored its mission to guide the next generation of historians, equipping them with the values and traditions needed to navigate the field and contribute to the Institute’s legacy.
